Museum Collections
- As the owning institution, the museum in which an artwork is housed is typically considered to be an authority on the work.
- Search the Collections portal (sometimes called the eMuseum) for the work you are researching on the museum's website
- Search by title, artist/creator, or accession number
- Browse by date, culture, or materials
- Look up a publication related to the museum's general art collections, and/or exhibition catalogs featuring the work
