The fastest way to see if Oberlin has access to a film is to look it up by title in OBIS. Films that we may have access to are most likely available through a DVD checkout (check the borrowing guidelines to see how long titles from different libraries circulate) or through Kanopy, a video streaming service. If Oberlin does not have access to a film, you should check the holdings of the Oberlin Public Library (where you can check out materials with your student card), OhioLink, and Search Ohio. Just make sure you look for films that say "Available" in OhioLink and SearchOhio, as not every library in these systems lends DVD's to non-local users.
A combined catalog of over 16 million items held by Ohio public libraries that allows direct, online requesting for residents of Ohio and delivery of books and other library media to Oberlin College within a matter of days. SearchOhio is a partner with the OhioLINK system, which serves academic libraries.
