Finding Audiobooks

Oberlin has a small collection of audiobooks, mostly consisting of classic works of fiction, business non-fiction, and audio recordings of new broadcasts and theater productions. For current fiction try a local public library. (Oberlin Public Library and Lorain County Public Library both have strong selections).

There are three places you can browse Oberlin College collections for audiobooks. If you are trying to determine if Oberlin has a specific audiobook, we recommend searching all three.

1. Naxos Spoken Word Library

2. OBIS

Search OBIS for the subject heading audiobooks. Note that Naxos Spoken Word audiobooks are not described in OBIS.

3. Summon

Search Summon and limit your search to the following content types:

  • Audio Recording
  • Streaming Audio
  • Spoken Word Recording
