Since your artwork is in the collections of the Allen Memorial Art Museum (AMAM),
begin your research by looking at the object record in the AMAM website's collections portal (eMuseum).

  1. Search for your artwork using the title, accession number, and/or artist/creator in the search box. 
                - If unavailable, try by the culture, materials, or date.
  2. Read (and absorb!) all the information about the work.
                - Take special notice to expand, read, and record any information that might be relevant to your topic in the following areas:
                            - "More information"
                            - "Exhibition History"
                            - "References"
  3. Use this information to help you with further searching, information gathering, and finding relevant resources.
