Historical Sources for Music at Oberlin

Oberlin College Archives holds print copies of concert programs, including student recitals, from 1841 to the present.

Programs of concerts and recitals at the Oberlin Conservatory from 1929/1930 to 2007/2008. Additional programs from 1902/1903 to 1905 are held in Terrell Main Library Special Collections. The programs include performances from the Artist Recital Series, faculty and guest artist recitals, student ensembles and large organizations, degree recitals, Oberlin Opera Theater productions, and more.

Audio Services maintains a database about concerts, over 15,000 from 1952 to the present. Program information is accessible to all users. Current faculty, staff, and students may listen to streaming audio, when available, by logging in with ObieID.

695 audio discs: digital; 4¾ inches. Recordings of folk music concerts recorded 1955–2017 in Oberlin, Ohio, primarily at Oberlin College.
